This site chronicles my on-going efforts to see all the capsules of the U.S. crewed space programs, as well as related spaceflight artifacts.
I have long been interested in space flight. Upon visiting the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, and seeing both the Aurora 7 and Apollo 8 capsules, I got to thinking “Which capsules have I seen and where are the ones I have not?” Leveraging "A Field Guide to American Spacecraft", I was able to map out adventures to work toward seeing them all.
Initially, I was only focusing on the crewed capsules. But as I began ticking the capsules off my list, I thought I would expand my chronicling to some of the other flown or other notable space artifacts.
As of 2022, the only flown retired artifact I have yet to see is Apollo 4. If you would like to contribute to this site, please email me and let's see how we can preserve the history of American Spaceflight.
