LTA-1

On display at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, the LTA-1 or Lunar Test Article was used for ground testing. Five other LTAs were also constructed for vibration testing and engine firing. LTA-1 was used to iron out problems during the fabrication and assembly of the Apollo Lunar Excursion Module (LEM). It is displayed in a room representing the Grumman assembly facility and its workers.
