Lunar Module Engineering Model
The J-series of Lunar Modules were the extended stay vehicles used on Apollo 15, 16, and 17. They also carried the Lunar Roving Vehicle in the bay next to the descent ladder. This model incorporates an engineering model of the Descent Stage (used at MSFC, by designers of the Lunar Rover, for studies and fit checks) with a fabricated Ascent stage (note the lack of detail in the hatchway area compared to some other LM images).
