Orion Boilerplate Test Article

The Boilerplate Test Article originally was built for testing water impacts at Langley’s Drop Test Facility. It was modified for use as a recovery training aid to develop the recovery procedures and train US Navy personnel on those procedures beginning in 2012. Today it is still in active use.
